What the committee will do
The new body will monitor governance, law and order and day-to-day administrative affairs in the province on a daily basis and report to the prime minister. The federal committee is expected to stay in close contact with the new provincial setup and assist it on security and other matters.

Separately, President Asif Ali Zardari has summoned sessions of the Senate and the National Assembly for 6pm today, Tuesday.
