JazzCash Wins Silver Award at Money20/20 USA as Sehat+ Takes InsurTech Honours
Islamabad: JazzCash has done it again. Pakistan’s leading digital financial services platform has won the Silver Award in the Banking–InsurTech category at Money20/20 USA 2026 — its second Silver in two years at the global fintech gathering, after ReadyCash took Banking honours in 2025.
Sehat+: insurance for the people the system skipped
This year’s award recognises Sehat+, the health-protection platform JazzCash built for exactly the customers conventional insurance never reached: informal workers, daily-wage earners, small traders and first-time buyers. The numbers explain why the judges noticed. Sehat+ now counts 2.38 million active unique insurance customers and has issued 27.7 million policies, with cover embedded directly into everyday transactions and claims paid without the paperwork that has traditionally kept low-income Pakistanis outside the insurance net.
‘The real measure is impact’
VEON Group CEO Kaan Terzioglu called the repeat recognition proof of consistent work expanding financial access in one of the world’s most populous countries. JazzCash CEO Murtaza Ali put it in plainer terms: the platform is judged by whether a microentrepreneur gets credit when she needs it and whether a family’s health claim is paid without delay. The same embedded approach, he said, is now being carried into savings and investment, so more Pakistanis can start building towards a future rather than just getting through the week.
