20 Pakistani IT Firms Showcase at TechCrunch Disrupt 2026 in San Francisco

News Cuff

For three days this week, Moscone West in San Francisco belonged to founders, investors and software people from all over the world — and one of the pavilions on the floor was Pakistan’s. Around 20 Pakistani technology companies showed their products at TechCrunch Disrupt 2026, hunting for the things young tech firms always hunt for abroad: market access, investment and partnerships that outlast a conference.

The ambassador comes calling

Pakistan’s ambassador to the United States, Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, visited the pavilion on Thursday and was briefed on what the companies make and how they plan to grow in the American market. He praised the growing capability of Pakistan’s technology industry and pressed the firms to turn a few days in Silicon Valley into lasting commercial relationships, positioning Pakistan as a competitive and reliable partner in the global digital economy.

Embassy support, on the record

Sheikh also assured the companies of the full support of Pakistan’s missions in the US as they build those links. Disrupt, held from October 13 to 15, is among the world’s best-known startup gatherings. For Pakistan, the point of showing up is visibility for its technology sector — and a stronger connection with the United States, its largest ICT export market.
