At PMA Passing Out Parade, Gen Aamer Raza Says No Room for War in Nuclearised Region, Warns Miscalculation Will Draw Response Beyond Imagination

Abbottabad: There is a particular hush before a passing out parade begins, and Kakul had it on Saturday morning. At the PMA passing out ceremony, cadets of the 154th Long Course, the 39th Technical Graduate Course, the 73rd Integrated Course and the 28th Lady Cadet Course completed their training. The chief guest was the Commander National Strategic Command, General Syed Aamer Raza, who inspected the parade and gave awards to the cadets who had stood out.
No room for war in a nuclearised environment
General Raza’s address went well beyond the usual congratulations. In a nuclear-armed region, he said, there is simply no space for war or conflict, and anyone who miscalculates will face a response far beyond what they imagined or worked out. Cross-border aggression or any violation of the country’s borders will not be tolerated; safeguarding the motherland’s territorial integrity, in his words, is absolute and unyielding.
The Islamabad Accord and Pakistan’s role
Turning to the Middle East tensions, he said the recent geopolitical shifts had once again underlined Pakistan’s strategic importance. Pakistan’s decisive role in restoring regional stability, and the Islamabad Accord, showed its commitment to peace and de-escalation. He also warned that hostile forces were trying to drive a wedge between the public and the armed forces through disinformation and narrative warfare. The passing-out cadets, for their part, took an oath to uphold the Constitution, stay away from politics and serve without self-interest.
