Umrah pilgrims departing Peshawar can travel without vaccination until October 25, vaccine becomes mandatory after the deadline

PESHAWAR: Pilgrims leaving for Umrah from Peshawar have been given more breathing space. Border Health Services has pushed the vaccination exemption forward to 10am on October 25, which means anyone flying out of the city before that hour can still travel under the old relaxation. The facility was earlier set to end on October 10.
No boarding without a vaccine after October 25
Ghulam Murtaza Shah, the focal person for Border Health Services, made clear that the relaxation covers only those who depart within the extended window. Once the deadline passes, vaccination becomes compulsory for every Umrah pilgrim leaving Peshawar, and airlines will not be allowed to board an unvaccinated passenger. Airlines and travel agents have been formally notified of the revised date, so the instruction should not catch anyone by surprise at the check-in counter.
Where to get vaccinated in Peshawar
Pilgrims who have not yet been vaccinated can do so at the Federal Government Medical Centre on Shami Road in Peshawar. Officials are advising people not to leave it to the last day. A certificate arranged well before the flight means no paperwork panic on departure morning — and no risk of being turned away from a journey many families save for years to make.
